KOLORI

Design and Art for Dressing Company created in 2015 by the sisters Bonnie and Patty Castañeda, with the aim of promoting the "art to dress" in Honduras and other countries.

Each of our costume pieces is an original design. With our clothes we redefine the use of the tunic, leaving behind its usual use for beach and showing it as a simple but elegant and functional garment, which can be worn day and night, and very practical for trips. The garments show all kinds of combinations of color and movement. They are vibrant, which is why they express emotions and feelings. They are aimed at women of all ages and who seek to show their own identity. Each piece is hand painted and with original motives, sometimes inspired by the flora and fauna of our country Honduras. The pieces are elaborated 100% in Habotai silk, combining different techniques inspired by the ancient techniques of shibori, serti, as well as free hand. We use non-toxic paints for higher quality textiles, and each piece is made with the least possible invasion in its construction, so that the piece maintains a style that can be used for a long time. Of more recent creation we have begun to elaborate garments painted in 100% natural cotton.

Empresa de Diseño y Arte para Vestir creada en 2015 por las hermanas Bonnie y Patty Castañeda, con el objetivo de promover el “arte para vestir” en Honduras y otros países.

Cada una de nuestras piezas de vestuario es un diseño original.  Con nuestras prendas redefinimos el uso de la túnica, dejando atrás su uso habitual para playa y mostrándola como una prenda sencilla pero elegante y funcional, que puede llevarse de día y de noche, y muy práctica para viajes. Las prendas muestran todo tipo de combinación de color y movimiento. Son vibrantes, por lo cual expresan emociones y sentimientos.  Las mismas van dirigidas a las mujeres de toda edad y que buscan mostrar su propia identidad. Cada pieza es pintada a mano y con motivos originales, en ocasiones inspirados en la flora y fauna de nuestro país. Las piezas son elaboradas 100% en seda Habotai, combinando diferentes técnicas inspiradas en las antiguas técnicas de shibori, serti, así como free hand.  Utilizamos las pinturas no toxicas para textiles de más alta calidad, y cada pieza es elaborada con la mínima invasión posible en su confección, a fin de que la pieza mantenga un estilo que pueda utilizarse por largo tiempo. De más reciente creación hemos dado inicio a la elaboración de prendas pintadas en 100% algodón natural.
